Back in 19th century there was a scientist experimenting with sound. However, he went missing under mysterious circumstances and all his work was lost in time. After years of searching, your team has finally uncovered the location of his long forgotten science laboratory.
What was he working on? What is this “Experiment” that is referenced in his notes? Can your team figure it out? Search for clues, solve puzzles, discover hidden things… do whatever it takes!
Keep in mind – you will need to perform an actual science experiment!

Q: Any specific knowledge required for this game? A: No. Everything that you need to escape is provided.
Q: I am not very good at science. Will that be a problem? A: Not at all! We designed this room to be fun for both Ph.D.s and kids alike.
Went on a rainy day and had so much fun! We booked “The Experiment” and the game was complex and interesting - which is what we were hoping for. The puzzles were challenging but not impossible or frustrating. We aren't experts by any means (have played around 10 rooms), but we were able to complete the room with 3 minutes left. The staff was friendly and courteous as well. Can’t wait to come back and try the other rooms!

We played Experiment and it was awesome! Absolutely loved the puzzles - really unique and quite elaborate too. We escaped with few minutes left and can't wait to try their other rooms. Definitely going back!

This was so fun! I took the kids I nanny, who are 11 and 15, and they both had a great time doing The Experiment. We walked in without booking, and both the workers were extremely helpful, and it was fun to work with the hints they gave us to solve the room. We didn't escape, but we had a fantastic time and will definitely go again!

Great staff, and a good time. The escape room we did (the experiment) was a bit too linear for six people. We often had 3 or so people just wondering around to make sure nothing was missed. I think 2-4 would be the right amount. That said, it was a blast and everyone left happy.

On a whim, we decided to try an escape room experience while visiting Seattle. We went to Room 5280 and had a blast! We had never done one of these before and the staff there made it a great experience. If you're looking for a challenge, I suggest the sound experiment, you wont be disappointed. Came in with my group (6 in including me), to come in and try The Experiment. It was amazing. Fun, engaging, challenging. Peter was great as a game master. Didn't over give us hints, but kept us moving fluidly.

Great time! We did the Experiment. The riddles were all very fair and well thought out. We will come back for sure to try out the other ones. Reasonably easy to find, free parking in the back, reasonably priced. Well done! I'd recommend them to anyone.

I loved the room my sister and I did! It kept us on our toes and we were one clue away from breaking free! I didn’t realize the Experiment Room was the hardest, but my sister and I did a really good job with just the two of us. When we were having trouble they gave us plenty of clues to keep us on the right track, and we got an extra ten minutes because the next group wasn’t expected for a while. I highly recommend doing these escape rooms with friends!

The Escape room was a fully immersive experience with clues cleverly hidden throughout the room. The staff was so fun and made our 1st experience very enjoyable! We did the "Experiment" which challenged us to think outside the box! It felt so great to master it!! I highly recommend Room 5280. They really want you to be successful without spoiling the fun. I can't wait to try to other Escape Rooms they offer! Thank you for making our experience perfect!!

In Seattle for a day and had to squeeze in an escape room. This place was the right choice! We did the Experiment room. It was a challenging and fun room; well designed and balanced between searching and puzzle grinding. George and Heather were fantastic!! - they made the experience even more fun!

This was a really fun place, my friends and I had a blast here! They have several rooms with different themes that you have to solve to get out. The one we played was the science experiment room. Do not worry, I will give no spoilers!! The guy who was working there (I didn't catch his name so I can't give him a shout out, but he deserves one!) was really helpful and nice. He explained the rules, showed us the room, and made all of us feel safe and unstressed. We had an hour to figure out all the clues, finish the science experiment, and unlock the door to get out. But we did not feel trapped or rushed or worried at all!The puzzles were really fun, challenging, but not too difficult. And when we were stuck he would knock on the door and slide a helpful clue under the door to get us going again. There were a couple times where we had the answer but somehow it didn't work in a combination lock, and he got on the intercom and let us know we had the right answer, go back and try it again. In the end we were able to finish the room in time, and the hints he gave us, while very helpful to jump start the gears in our minds, did not give things away too much. It was a super fun reveal at the end too when we got to finish a real historic science experiment and hear about what it was and how affected our lives even today! I definitely want to go back and try more rooms out, it's worth it to go. If you have been thinking about trying out an escape room, try out ROOM 5280, it is worth experiencing!

As newbies to escape rooms, my friend and I chose this place because they are willing to provide clues, and they will even show you what you missed at the end (if you want). It's a good thing some help is provided because we were floundering. We were glad we chose Room 5280 since the puzzles were well-designed, and "The Experiment" is extremely fascinating! Great host. Great concepts. Great experience. Thanks!

We played Darkness and Experiment today as a two. Both are really great rooms - challenging and very enjoyable. The owners are also very friendly, enthusiastic, and helpful. Thoroughly recommend any of their rooms based on what I saw - we're in the 30 odd game range, so we've seen a few! 🙂
